The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has announced a strategic partnership with the Dubai AI Campus, the region’s largest artificial intelligence hub and a flagship initiative under the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). This collaboration marks a major step toward preparing a future-ready workforce by training more than 10,000 individuals by 2030 in AI-driven technologies.
The joint initiative is designed to foster local talent and align with Dubai’s long-term vision of becoming a global leader in technology, innovation, and knowledge-based economies. It will deliver cutting-edge education and training programs tailored to both the public and private sectors.
Building a Smarter Workforce
H.E. Abdullah Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director General of DGHR, emphasized the importance of human capital development in achieving Dubai’s vision.
“Preparing the workforce to adapt to AI and digital transformation is essential to our competitiveness,” he said. “This partnership underscores our commitment to innovation, institutional excellence, and future-ready skills.”
Educational offerings will range from hands-on technical training to executive development, ensuring that employees across industries can integrate AI technologies into their daily operations.
The initiative also supports the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) by promoting sustainable, innovation-led growth and boosting digital resilience across government and business sectors.
Cross-Sector Collaboration for Future Skills
Essa Kazim, Governor of DIFC, highlighted the urgency of sector-wide collaboration:
“Building a digitally skilled workforce is a national priority. By joining forces, we empower our workforce with the capabilities needed to thrive in tomorrow’s economy.”
One of the flagship programs under the partnership is “AI for Civil Service”, which will train government employees in using generative AI to enhance public services. Participants will develop real-world solutions and pitch them to a panel of experts from DIFC, Udacity, and leading AI professionals. Selected projects will receive expert mentorship and support for implementation.
Beyond Training: A Culture of Innovation
In addition to technical skills development, the collaboration includes:
- AI research and whitepapers
- Public sector workshops
- Networking and industry events
- Thought leadership on AI in HR and organizational development
These activities aim to enhance workplace efficiency, foster continuous learning, and embed innovation into institutional culture.
Towards a Globally Competitive, AI-Enabled Dubai
This partnership is a cornerstone in positioning Dubai as a global AI hub, committed to empowering its workforce through knowledge, innovation, and collaboration. With forward-looking programs and strong cross-sector support, DGHR and Dubai AI Campus are helping shape an inclusive and resilient digital economy.
